Let’s get something out of the way – female representation in film is not always the best. From being solely a love interest for the main (man) character to having throw away lines that have no bearing on the story, it’s been a rough journey in cinema for females. Fortunately, there ARE some roles that have broken the typical mold and that’s pretty “badass”.

Urban Dictionary defines the term “badass” as: “ultra cool mother fucker”. Join Tuong La and ‘ultra cool mother fuckers’ Samantha Leggatt, Victoria Wallace, and Deborah Ring as we celebrate the very best female badass characters in film.

Did we miss any badass females? Send your list and other Top 5 topics here  – – — > ranked@podcavern.com
