173 – Top 5 Pixar Movies

It is another CROSSOVER special in today’s episode of Ranked! If you don’t already know the Disney Dummies went on a mission to watch every single Disney Animated Feature in chronological order, discuss them at length, argue about the merits of the movie, shared fun facts, talked about which characters had f*ck energy, and so much more. They eventually caught up and are still on the Disney Train, but needed a second challenge. That challenge was Pixar and so Disney Dummies x Pixar Pals was born and the cycle started again! Flash forward again to present day where they have ALSO caught up to Pixar as well and the time again is now to make a definitive list of which movies are the best! So join the Pixar Pals (Tuong La, Laura Gordon, Samantha Leggatt, and Brad Sales) as they get those snakes outta their boots and rank Top 5 Pixar Movies!

PP18 – Cars 3 (2017)

They say the third time’s the charm, and the Dummies are happy to confirm that after a couple of rough stints, Pixar landed firmly on the podium with Cars 3. PP12 – Cars 2 (2011)

Cars 2 is for everyone who dared to ask the question “what if cars were spies?” and absolutely no one else. Setting aside the absurdity of different types of vehicles racing in a single class world championship, the Pixar Pals draw the line at this film wasting the voice talents (and precious training time) of motorsport GOAT Lewis Hamilton. Watch if you must, but be warned that there are no winners in this race. (Literally – it just ends.)

PP07 – Cars (2006)

Things may be speeding up on the racetrack, but Pixar is definitely slowing down a bit this week as we head west on Route 66. Even Lightning McQueen’s flashy style and the small-town charm of Radiator Springs aren’t enough to bring Cars the life that it’s creators were looking for – but hey, your Pals are still here to point out the bright spots, including a decent redemption plot, one memorable tune, and an unexpectedly compelling road paving machine that just might have you saying ka-chow!

Ep 17 – Hobbs & Shaw, The Boys, Good Boys

It’s a classic episode where it’s just Tuong spitting off nonsense into a mic on this August’s Edition of Talkin’ Tuong! This month, Tuong gets Fast and Furious while talking about Hobbs & Shaw, gets geeky talking about ‘superheroes gone bad’ in The Boys, and laughs at children doing incredibly inappropriate things in Good Boys! Also things get raunchy in the PodCavern as the folks on the live chat want to Tuong to take off his shirt? Did he do it? Do people understand that this is mostly an audio medium? Listen and find out!
