Ground Rules
- We are going to be specific where it makes sense. ie. We won’t just nominate “candy” and instead say what kind of candy we’d like to bring
- A whole meal isn’t really a snack. ie. a steak dinner or leftover ramen
- Here are some qualities that of a good road trip snacks that include but are not limited to:
- Portability – how easy it is to hold and bring with you
- Mess – this is a pretty big factor. Is there a chance it will make a mess on your pants or all over the car seats? Below are some examples:
- Crumbly foods
- Powdery Snacks
- Greasy or oily foods
- Anything with strong odours
- Foods that spoil quickly
- Sustenance – will eating this food give you that fuel you need to complete your journey?
- Accessibility – Is the snack easily purchasable? Is it something you can just pick up on your way at any gas station or fast food restaurant?
- Co-pilot reliance – Do you need someone else in the car to help you unwrap or prepare the snack to eat it?
- Sharability – Does the snack allow you to share with others in the car
