83 – Top 5 Chips

We know we can’t just eat one…
We were very lucky to record this episode pre-quarantine because live-sampling needed to happen (for research of course) to once and for all decide what the best chips are! These thin-sliced, deep-fried, crunchy snacks have been a staple in Snack Food Culture for centuries and we knew we had to do this episode justice. So join Tuong La and Potato Heads Hayley Kellett, Simone Dorie, and Leslie Cserepy as they get their sweet, salty, and savoury on and rank Top 5 Chips!

Ep 25 – Onward with Samantha Leggatt

The (slightly) relaunched Talkin’ Tuong is here and we are kicking things off with PodCavern fan favorite…Samantha Leggatt! The whole idea of this new-ish format is to find ways to connect with friends (old and new) in these darker times by talking about something more fun, like the types of art we are consuming more of these days. For the foreseeable future, we will be doing 1 on 1 interview shows with new guests every Monday to discuss the latest pop culture news as well as talk about one movie/tv or show/game/etc. that we both agreed to watch pre-recording. So sit back and enjoy our newest episode about Pixar’s latest movie…Onward!

82 – Top 5 80’s Songs

Comb back your mullets and perms because this week we are going back to the 80’s!

In many ways, the 80’s were a much simpler time. A time where fashion was colorfully neon and bold, where people loved to actually go out to the movies and go dancing, and a time where random slang words were ‘gnarly’ and ‘hella’ plentiful. Music was particularly ‘bitchin’ during this time because it gave rise to some of the best karaoke songs and, not to mention, music videos that has ever existed. From whiny guitars to synth drums to dancing in a skin-tight outfit while dramatically belting out lyrics that put today’s songs to shame – 80’s music had it it all. This week join Tuong La and Tubular guests Axandre Lemours, Victoria Luloff, and Colleen Wang as they ‘totally’ come up with a ‘rad’ Top 5 80’s Songs List!

Join Tuong La and special guest Taylor Fleming as they discuss The Invisible Man and all the shows/movies that are being impacted by this stupid virus!
