From chip tunes and beyond!

Music is an integral part of gaming. The way a track is used can elevate the moments of playing your game and stick with you long after you have put down the controller. Just like in film and television, it invokes a certain personality and feeling that really just rounds out the overall experience. So join Tuong and 8-bit heroes Angus MacDonald, Samantha Leggatt, and Leslie Cserepy as they activate their cheat codes and celebrate Top 5 Video Game Theme Songs.

“This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off.”

This week join Tuong and King of The Spooks Paul JP as they talk about a movie-a-day of spooky movies in October,  Sonic the Hedgehog erotica, Guy Fieri walking you down the aisle at your wedding, and our movie of the week – the all time classic sci-fi/horror 1979’s Alien!

“So this is the famous Suicide Squad…”

Wait didn’t this movie already happen a few years ago?! Back in 2016, the comic book world was hyped to see their favorite villains team up in DC’s own Guardians of the Galaxy type of movie – pitting a bunch of NOT morally good characters together to save the world. After much build up, that movie turned out to be a massive disappointment and loathed by many. Since then, a few characters from that movie endured and have broke out to appear in several more movies, such as Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, but it always seemed like such a missed opportunity to not see this beloved comic book property properly adapted to the big screen like it always deserved. Well fast forward to 2021 and Guardians of the Galaxy’s James Gunn decided to take another stab at it! Join Tuong and Task Force X Villain Matt Barrow as they see if the second times a charm and talk about 2021’s The Suicide Squad!

“Well we think of life like the seasons.”

When people think of horror movies they often think about jump scares, lots of blood, gore, spooky creatures, ghosts, or…*shudder* children. But some horror movies opt for a different approach where it’s horror of the mind, slowly peeling away at your psyche as you watch it, such as on this week’s episode of Talkin’ Tuong. So join Tuong and Castle Rockettes’s Spencer Dunn as they take a look at the bright and disturbing Swedish folk horror/cultish nightmare that is 2019’s Midsommar.

Featuring Maddox Campbell (Break A Wish) and CJ (Canadian Comedy Award Winner). In our first mini-episode, Paul cracks into his personal collection of fan fiction, and shares chapter 226 of “Sonic’s Ultimate Harem” with two of the show’s past champions.

This week on Talkin’ Tuong, we get into the mind of Shia Labeouf as Tuong and The Making Box’s Braeden Etienne get chatting about Shia’s semi-autobiographical film complete with chickens, pies in the face as a child actor, and a whole lot of father-son drama; that’s right we talking 2019’s Honey Boy! (now streaming on Prime Video).
