**Imagine the following paragraph softly whispered in your ear**

You hear that? That’s the sound of an entire podcast episode dedicating to figuring out what the best sounds are! Autonomous sensory meridian response, or ASMR, has garnered immense popularity over the last decade. We all know sounds that we collectively disdain like nails on a chalkboard, but we often glossed over the sounds that we actually find enjoyable until ASMR came around. And while this episode is not strictly about ASMR, this week join Tuong La and the A-Team Angus MacDonald, Samantha Leggatt, and Leslie Cserepy as we rank the Top 5 Sounds that are sure to tickle your ears in the best way possible!

Ground Rules

  • A song is not a sound
  • A jingle does not count (ie the Mcdonald’s jingle)
  • You can’t nominate a chord or note (ie the chord of G) unless you associate an instrument that goes with it. Reasoning is because the chord of G, while the same note, comes out sounding different on a guitar vs piano.
  • Chymes or a sequence of sounds are okay if they serve a single purpose and it’s not like an advertisement.
  • Ringtones are dicey territory
  • No concepts of sounds (ie The sound of defeat).
  • If a thing produces multiple sounds then it counts
