Ep 87 – The Suicide Squad (2021) with Matt Barrow

“So this is the famous Suicide Squad…”

Wait didn’t this movie already happen a few years ago?! Back in 2016, the comic book world was hyped to see their favorite villains team up in DC’s own Guardians of the Galaxy type of movie – pitting a bunch of NOT morally good characters together to save the world. After much build up, that movie turned out to be a massive disappointment and loathed by many. Since then, a few characters from that movie endured and have broke out to appear in several more movies, such as Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, but it always seemed like such a missed opportunity to not see this beloved comic book property properly adapted to the big screen like it always deserved. Well fast forward to 2021 and Guardians of the Galaxy’s James Gunn decided to take another stab at it! Join Tuong and Task Force X Villain Matt Barrow as they see if the second times a charm and talk about 2021’s The Suicide Squad!
