Stop! In the name of love (songs)!
It’s time for yet another Valentine’s Ranked Special! Music and Love have gone hand in hand since the dawn of the cavemen (probably). As long as there has been music, there have been people out there singing about their feelings for one another. So how do you make a good song from a topic that has been covered millions of times without being overly cheesy, obvious, and copying what’s come before? Join Tuong La and Palentine’s Kristy Matheson, Amanda Gulka-Armstrong, and Laura Gordon as they get hot and steamy while ranking Top 5 Love Songs!
Stop! In the name of love (songs)!
Come on down to Camp Crystal Lake where we haven’t had a single camper die for weeks!
For a fun throwback we’ll be checking out some old reels from the 1980/2009 seasons! Watch as the counselors enjoy various camp amenities such as track and field, archery and ax throwing. (Pay attention, because there just might be a cameo from every camper’s favorite former cook: Mrs. Voorhees!) If movies aren’t your thing, you can always go for a nature run with former camper/current groundskeeper Jason!
Angus and Sal meet with Captain Canada, a hero looking to retire. The only problem is no one has ever heard of him.
When you wish upon a star… you notice some pretty weird stuff that you missed as a kid. Listen along this week as we watch everyone’s favorite puppet become a real boy – and talk about how Pinocchio is both exactly how we remembered it, and infinitely more terrifying.
Comb back your mullets and perms because this week we are going back to the 80’s!
In many ways, the 80’s were a much simpler time. A time where fashion was colorfully neon and bold, where people loved to actually go out to the movies and go dancing, and a time where random slang words were ‘gnarly’ and ‘hella’ plentiful. Music was particularly ‘bitchin’ during this time because it gave rise to some of the best karaoke songs and, not to mention, music videos that has ever existed. From whiny guitars to synth drums to dancing in a skin-tight outfit while dramatically belting out lyrics that put today’s songs to shame – 80’s music had it it all. This week join Tuong La and Tubular guests Axandre Lemours, Victoria Luloff, and Colleen Wang as they ‘totally’ come up with a ‘rad’ Top 5 80’s Songs List!
Come under our musical mistletoe this Christmas!
It’s that time of the year again for the Ranked Christmas/Holiday special! It’s also that time of the year where you cannot escape the magic of holiday music everywhere you go! While many (MANY) artists have put out their own renditions of holiday classics and originals, only some songs have stood the test of time and found a special way in our hearts (and playlists) year to year. Join Tuong La and his band of Merry Elves James Beattie. Kierstyn Beattie, and Laura Gordon as they jingle all the way to come up with a list of the Top 5 Christmas Songs!
