10 years of movies, that can’t be THAT hard to Rank right?…right?
The 2010 decade is coming to an end and, looking back, the movie landscape has shifted and changed drastically in the last 10 years. The Twenty-Tens gave rise to streaming, obligatory sequels, reboots, and shared universes; while many smaller indie films struggled to break through the box office. The amount of content we face these days is endless so coming with a list of our favorites was a tough one (especially since it’s been such a great decade for movies).  So join us as Tuong La and Sassy Cinephiles Taylor Fleming, Stephanie Ridgeway, and Sean Mulhern pull out all their movie knowledge and rank down the behemoth of a list that is Top 5 Movies of the 2010 Decade!

Wait a sec.. Green book? That can’t be right..

The Academy has had one of it’s most controversial years yet. Just when you think they finally “get it” they manage to take one step forward and two steps back. From everything surrounding the hosting, to subtracting and re-adding categories to the main program, to the Best Movie they chose, it’s clear that this whole awards show is kind of a hot mess. However, it’s not all cloudy skies! While this year may not have had the strongest line up of movies, it still gave us some real humdingers which we are here today to share with you! Join Tuong La and True Oscar Winners Desiree Connors Warmington, Taylor Fleming, and Leslie Cserepy as they celebrate PodCavern & Ranked’s second birthday, and rank the Top 5 Movies of 2018!

Live at the Ottawa Improv Festival 2018 Tuong , Angus, and Leslie are joined by D.j.Danger Mouse” Mausner (Crybabies, The Second City Touring Co), Dave “The Destroyer of Lawyers” Sawyer (Big Bang Improv) , and “Jason Voorhes” Kirsten Rasmussen (K$M, The Second City). Take the plunge with them as the Star Wars characters get a job at Dunder Mifflin, Alan Rickman unlocks the secrets of Footlocker with his tongue, and we learn that the true “Shining” is Oscar gold.

Can you believe this year will be the 90th Academy Awards show? NINETY! Over most of this time, The Awards have been a pretty boring celebration between (generally) rich, white, powerful people giving themselves a pat on the back and snubbing more deserving individuals/films. However, this year in particular we saw the entire landscape of Hollywood shift from more representation, to calling out shitty people in the industry, to an influx of some really great Indie movies. Suffice to say things are looking to be changing and it’s never been a better time to be a movie fan! Join Tuong La and Movie Bingers Leslie Cserepy, Taylor Fleming, and Sarah Finn as we celebrate and rank our favorite movies of 2017.

Former ‘Woke Warrior’ of TREVOR + The Improv Embassy Val Perelshtein joins Tuong and Leslie as they sing along with the Candy Man at his shop, smash cut to The Room going to a galaxy far far away, and find out that Jack from Titanic is the world’s #1 baby daddy
