Chill out to some of gaming’s best tunes!
We’ve already tackled Top 5 Video Game Theme Songs but the spectrum of what songs in gaming can offer is so much more vast. Today’s episode is inspired by how popular Lo-Fi beats have become (Thanks Lo-Fi Girl!) and so we wanted to bring you some of gaming’s best chilling and relaxing tunes. So join Tuong and 8-Bit Cool Cats Samantha Leggatt, Spencer Moreland, and Joshua Mayo as they get into their cozy vibes while ranking Top 5 Chill Video Game Songs.

Ground Rules
- Songs have to come from video games (duh)
- We are nominating individual songs, not full soundtracks
- Song should be the song from the game and not the “Lofi version” of a popular song
- It also doesn’t necessarily have to have Lofi beats. The vibe we are going for is relaxing/”cool” and not too emotionally complex. (ie if a song is chill but also stirs a lot of emotion in you at some point…is it really that chill?)
- We are going to try to seperate the song from where the song may happen in a game. For example some songs can be perceived as chill in a vacuum but maybe the song is played at a part of a game which invokes a lot of grief.
- A loose litmus test we used is “what songs can we play at a backyard bbq that would be good for chillin’ and not get immediate attention”
