We went Cuckoo for Ranking Cereals!

This week we relive our glory days from our youth as we discuss the best of the best cereals! Join Tuong La and Hungry Adult Children Leslie Cserepy, Angus MacDonald, and Samantha Leggatt as they SNAP CRACKLE AND POP into action and rank the best cereals of the rainbow!

Don’t make it weird.

Growing up in front of a television, it was hard not to admire some of the animated characters we saw on our favorite shows/movies. Something in the way these character talked, or the way they acted, or – yup – even the way they looked made us melt in a way that ‘Tommy’ or ‘Sally’ from school never would. This week Tuong La and Cartoon Crushers Angus MacDonald, Samantha Leggatt, and Meghan Murphy rank their favorite Cartoon Crushes that sparked their err..”awakening”.

Last year we ranked some dogs, so it only seemed right to finally put together a list of it’s fur-midable foe – the cat! Join Tuong La and cat lover paw-destrians Leslie Cserepy, Angus MacDonald, and Samantha Leggatt as we rank a purr-fect Top 5 List of the best Fictional Cats!

It’s getting hot in herre…

Do you feel that? Sun is out, Ray-Bans are on, and summer is in full swing! What better way to groove out to the nicest time of the year than to listen to some tunes while you’re hanging out the cottage, cruising down the highway with your windows down, or laying down in your 10ft sandcastle on a beach. Join Tuong La and Saucy Summertime Lovers Adam Jasim, Ryan Hueglin, and Laura Gordon as they rank the Top 5 best summer songs of ALL TIME!

What’s your favorite summertime jams? Let us know in the comments/ email us at ranked@podcavern.com

Ground Rules

  • songs must invoke the spirit of summer rather than a multi-purpose song that is good at all times of the year
  • nostalgia can be a factor
  • has good vibes and makes you happy/content (ie relaxing, reminds of you of the beach, water)
  • we are talking about ALL TIME songs
  • doesn’t actually have to have the word “summer” in the song

Check out our post-podcast Spotify curated playlist of hot summer singles courtesy of Ryan Hueglin!

The day of Infinity War as finally arrived!

10 years ago Marvel started a revolution for comic book nerds around the world with the very first Iron Man. What followed was the birth of a cinematic universe that has dominated today’s pop culture. Through 18 movies, they have been slowly building the foundation of the biggest comic book event since…well ever. To celebrate this momentous occasion, join Tuong La as he gathers the Infinity Stones with the help of Stenley Philippe, Stephen Peeling, and Glen Barlas as they look back and rank the very best Marvel Movies leading up to Avengers: Infinity War.

Can you believe this year will be the 90th Academy Awards show? NINETY! Over most of this time, The Awards have been a pretty boring celebration between (generally) rich, white, powerful people giving themselves a pat on the back and snubbing more deserving individuals/films. However, this year in particular we saw the entire landscape of Hollywood shift from more representation, to calling out shitty people in the industry, to an influx of some really great Indie movies. Suffice to say things are looking to be changing and it’s never been a better time to be a movie fan! Join Tuong La and Movie Bingers Leslie Cserepy, Taylor Fleming, and Sarah Finn as we celebrate and rank our favorite movies of 2017.
